Tomorrow June 5, 2025, The Republic of Korea will host the celebrations of World Environment Day with major focus on Ending Plastic Pollution globally to strengthen the commitment to this urgent cause and catalyze collective action for the sustaining environment and future generation. We are already aligning with commitment and single use plastic has been restricted for use in the state and the country as well.
Indigenous knowledge, deeply rooted in traditional practices and wisdom, offers invaluable perspectives on sustainable living, environmental conservation, and community resilience. In the face of complex global challenges, the insights embedded in Indigenous Knowledge Systems are increasingly becoming relevant and essential on a daily basis. In the current scenario, it is pertinent to blend Indigenous Knowledge Systems with Modern Technologies to explore the cost-effective measures to tackle the challenging issues.
I am sure this website will address the sustainable environmental issues for future and lead to a roadmap to Viksit Bharat – 2047. I hope this website will serve as an excellent platform for the stakeholders to exchange their knowledge on the concerned issues. This website will also help making use of recognised knowledge for planning future programmes and inculcate the traditional values/heritage.
I wish, the contribution of all the nature lovers, this initiative will yield a grand success.
Best wishes and regards
