Under the Government of India’s environmental initiative, Hariawal Punjab played a key role in transforming Prayagraj Kumbh 2025 into a Green Kumbh. Through the impactful “Ek Thaila Ek Thali” campaign, the organization raised awareness among thousands across Punjab and Chandigarh about the harmful effects of single-use plastic and inspired the adoption of eco-friendly alternatives like cloth bags and reusable plates.

Launched in October 2024, the campaign has now evolved into a mass movement. With the help of street plays, awareness seminars, widespread distribution of cloth bags, and enthusiastic youth participation, the initiative gained massive traction. The production of cloth bags at government ITI centres not only supported environmental efforts but also created employment and skill-building opportunities for young people.
